Techniques and ProcessCatalysis comes with a detailed set of techniques and guidelines for all modeling activities. Some of these are described as patterns in the Catalysis text. Catalysis is very strongly fractal in its approach, so these patterns and techniques typically have a core which applies at all levels (business, specification, design, code); and some parts which may be specific to the level being worked on (e.g. you may document an Actor at the business level somewhat differently from how you document a type in a design model). Catalysis also supports clear yet flexible "process routes" i.e. different work breakdown of activities that may be suited for different projects. The process may be adopted from "light" to sophisticated usage, and has comprehensive "process implementations" that detail work breakdown structures, activities, steps, quality criteria, deliverables, detailed templates, and techniques. See the Process section for more information. |
